Creating new Template in VGK is a one step process. Existing Project Schedule can be easily converted into a new Template. User can also create a new Template as a copy of existing Template.
Template can be edited similar to Schedule. This allows user quickly develop series of templates that well address needs of various Projects.
Splitting a Template into logical segments gives user an opportunity to develop Schedule Blocks from a Template. Schedule Blocks provides user the most flexible and effective way to develop Project Schedule.
VGK Templates contains complete and detailed Work Breakdown Structure integrated into template tasks.
When Project Schedule is converted into a Template, Tasks’ WBS is also copied into a Template tasks. This includes Tasks’:

Task’s WBS can be edited to better reflect generic needs of a Template (Schedule Block) and is stored as part of a Template.

Creating Project Schedule
Template is a complete Project Schedule. Depending on company business, you might have several Templates for different types of Projects.
Creating a new Project Schedule from a Template in VGK is a simple one-step procedure. User find Template that best match the Project needs and create a new Schedule by converting selected Template into Project Schedule. Conversion process will copy all template Tasks and complete Work Breakdown Structure.
As part of conversion process you set various factors that allow you to produce Schedule closely match to Project needs.
Schedule Block is a template that contains a logical portion of a Schedule. It provides the most flexible and effective way to develop complex Project Schedule. Schedule Blocks are used to develop new Schedule as well as edit existing Project Schedule.
To add new Block, user choose Schedule Block, set predecessor and parent Schedule. Selected Block will be added to the specified Schedule as one step process.
Like a Template, Schedule Block has complete and detailed WBS which will be added to the Schedule during conversion process. Conversion factors (similar to Template conversion) allow to adjust resulted values to best match Project requirements.
